It’s been over five decades since E.M. Collins left his career in the wholesale fabric industry to explore the flooring realm. The savvy businessman and former hotel owner jumped at the opportunity to evolve business and prove a flooring natural. E.M.’s son, Bryan, began working at his father’s store shortly after he got out of college. Hank, now the third generation of Collins men to oversee the family business, began assisting at the family the store as a middle school student. Hank attended college briefly but decided the working world was more to his liking, having already started a successful floor-cleaning operation out of the store. In 2000, Hank bought the store after serving as manager for three years prior. In 1996, the company joined forces with Carpet One Floor & Home. Today, Hank is the father of three daughters and retains an active presence in his store and surrounding community. He considers his longtime staff to be "extended family."

Then and now, National Carpet One Floor & Home continues serving the citizens of rural Arkansas, specializing in residential flooring replacements and light commercial work.
